Occasional Chair

This chair was a great find. I mulled over what to do with it for some time. I could see it with fresh white woodwork and a navy and white patterned fabric, but decided to stick with the neutrals. I used my new stencil which I love. It was a little time consuming but well worth the effort.

I hope you all have a great week leading up to Christmas and get all those last minute jobs crossed off your list :)

Gorgeous Chair

I recently recovered this lovely chair for my friend Sandy (of Paint Me White ). Sandy had 3 different fabrics to choose from and I think she got it 100% right with this stripe. I also think her decision to keep the timber natural rather than painting it was spot-on! Isn't it beautiful :)

Beautiful Balloon-Back Chairs

I really have to stop refurbishing furniture that I fall completely in love with!!!

These 4 balloon-back dining chairs have come up so beautifully. I am having so much fun with my new stencil, although I think it may be time to invest in a new one. Even my kids commented that they are getting bored with this one haha.

Lovely Chalkboard

I recently received a lovely comment from a fellow blogger that gave me the prompt I needed to get another post on my blog. Thanks Loi Thai, I needed that! (Visit Loi's great blog Tone on Tone ).

I finished off a lovely large chalkboard recently. It has an elegant feel to it. I hope it will find a new home soon.

I have also finished off my French dining chairs with black braid.. I am not sure it was the right choice but am sure it will appeal to someone. I am hoping they will sell soon as I really need to make space for more chairs haha

French Dining Chair Makeover.

I have had fun breathing new life into a set of 6 dining chairs recently.
They have a lovely cane back and have come up beautifully with a new paint job and new seat covering. I stencilled the fabric on each one prior to upholstering. All that is needed now is double piping to hide all of those staples. I am thinking I will do a contrasting piping, maybe in grey.

Yes, that fish is wearing spectacles, and I have a teenage son with a fun sense of humour :)

My dilemma now is, as always, do I keep them or let someone else enjoy their beauty??? My current dining chairs (below)are a very hard act to follow!

Lampshades Revamped

I recovered 2 old lampshades this week and LOVE how they turned out. I'd really like to keep them but how many shades does a girl need...really? So I have listed them, along with some other goodies, on ebay today. Check out these babies.....

Wishing you all a delightful weekend.
